Candle Care

A Little Candle Magic Goes a Long Way

Every Feral Flame candle is crafted with care and intention — and with a few simple practices, you can enjoy its cozy glow and enchanting scent safely from first light to final flicker. ✨

✨ 1. First Burn Magic

When lighting your candle for the very first time, let it burn until the melted wax reaches the edges of the vessel — usually 2–4 hours. This sets the “memory” of the wax and prevents tunneling, ensuring an even, long-lasting burn every time.

✂️ 2. Trim Your Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch (6 mm). This keeps the flame steady, reduces smoke and soot, and helps your candle burn beautifully and cleanly.

🔥 3. Never Burn Too Long

For safety and best results, burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish, let it cool, and relight if you’d like to enjoy it longer.

🪄 4. Set the Scene Safely

Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, pets, curtains, or anything flammable. And never leave a lit candle unattended — the magic should always be watched over.

🏡 5. Stop Before the Bottom

When about ½ inch (1 cm) of wax remains, it’s time to say goodbye. Continuing to burn it past this point can risk overheating the vessel.

✨ 6. Intention & Atmosphere

Candles love to be part of a ritual. Light them with intention — for healing, for peace, for joy — and let their glow transform your space into a sanctuary.

🌿 Feral Flame Studio candles are more than décor — they’re companions for your healing journey and little portals to wonder. With the right care, they’ll keep weaving their magic safely and beautifully for many cozy nights to come. ✨
